Bastian Terhorst has been writing since he was fifteen, when he began contributing to a regional daily newspaper. He went on to cover stories for the Berliner Zeitung and various magazines, winning the Spiegel Young Journalist Award. He studied History and Theatre in Berlin, then Screenwriting and Directing at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, and has since worked in film and television for over twenty-five years under a pseudonym. His debut novel tells the tragedy of a once-famous idealist who was erased from history by her own son.
